Frequently asked questions

The questions investors ask most often about becoming a resident, land, incentives and process.

How do I become a resident?

Submit an investment proposal to the zone directorate, secure a plot through the electronic auction, and complete the resident-status procedure with the directorate’s guidance.

What documents are required?

A company profile, an investment programme with planned output and jobs, and the standard residency application set. The directorate provides the current checklist on request.

What is the minimum investment?

There is no single fixed figure — the investment programme is reviewed by the directorate, and the tax-holiday term (3–10 years) scales with the size of the committed investment.

Which sectors qualify?

The zone is pharma-first: high-tech pharmaceuticals and medicinal-plant processing, with food and agro-processing welcomed alongside pharma residents.

Can foreign investors lease or own land?

Yes. Plots are allocated to residents through a transparent electronic e-auction, and foreign investors are actively courted, including through a dedicated China desk.

What tax and customs benefits apply?

0% property and land tax for 3–10 years, duty-free import of equipment and materials, and import-VAT deferral of up to 120 days.

What utilities are provided?

Electricity, gas, water and roads are planned and built to the boundary of your plot at government cost.

How do I arrange a site visit?

Contact investor relations or the China desk directly — see the Contacts page — and the directorate will arrange a visit and parcel walkthrough.
