Investment Relations Officer

Andijan, Uzbekistan · Full-time · Apply by 2026-07-01

The Andijan-Pharm Free Economic Zone is recruiting an Investment Relations Officer to guide foreign pharmaceutical investors from first contact through to operating residency. You will be the human face of the zone for manufacturers evaluating Uzbekistan — often their single point of contact across site selection, e-auction, incentives and connection.

This is a front-line, relationship-driven role inside the directorate, working alongside the international cooperation and China desks. It suits someone who is equally comfortable reading an investment proposal and walking a visitor across a muddy construction lot.

What you’ll do

  • Act as first point of contact for inbound enquiries from foreign manufacturers and their advisors
  • Qualify projects, understand the investor’s production needs, and match them to available lots
  • Coordinate and host site visits — logistics, agenda, and translation support
  • Guide residents through the incentive package: tax holidays, duty-free imports, VAT deferral and the residency procedure
  • Prepare lot maps, incentive summaries and investment packs tailored to each enquiry
  • Liaise with the China desk on Chinese-language enquiries and delegations
  • Track each opportunity through the pipeline and keep the directorate’s records current

What we’re looking for

  • Degree in business, economics, international relations, law or a related field
  • 2+ years in investment promotion, export/trade, consulting, or B2B account management
  • Fluent English — written and spoken — is required
  • Clear, credible communicator who can hold the confidence of senior foreign executives
  • Organised and reliable in following a multi-step process to completion

A strong plus

  • Russian or Mandarin Chinese in addition to English
  • Familiarity with the pharmaceutical, food or agro-processing sectors
  • Experience with free economic zones, industrial parks or special tax regimes
  • Existing network among foreign investors in Central Asia

What we offer

  • A central role in a growing, government-backed free economic zone
  • Direct exposure to international investors and senior directorate leadership
  • Competitive salary, relocation support to Andijan where relevant, and professional development
  • The chance to shape how a flagship pharmaceutical zone presents itself to the world
