Site Infrastructure Engineer

Andijan, Uzbekistan · Full-time

The Andijan-Pharm Free Economic Zone is hiring a Site Infrastructure Engineer to keep plots production-ready as the zone expands. The zone’s core promise to investors is that electricity, gas, water and roads arrive at the plot boundary — built by the state, not the resident. Delivering on that promise across the six newly opened lots is this role.

You will sit at the intersection of the directorate, utility providers and resident contractors, making sure that when an investor is ready to build, the ground is ready for them.

What you’ll do

  • Coordinate delivery of power, gas, water and road connections to each investment lot
  • Track infrastructure readiness across the six newly opened lots and report status to the directorate
  • Review resident construction and connection plans for compatibility with the zone’s networks
  • Liaise with regional utility companies and contractors to schedule and inspect works
  • Maintain accurate as-built records of the internal utility grid and road network
  • Support residents through technical connection, commissioning and handover
  • Flag capacity constraints early and help plan upgrades ahead of demand

What we’re looking for

  • Degree in civil, electrical, mechanical or infrastructure engineering
  • 3+ years in infrastructure, utilities, industrial construction or site development
  • Working understanding of power, gas and water networks and how they connect to a plant
  • Able to read engineering drawings and coordinate multiple contractors on site
  • Comfortable working in Russian and/or Uzbek with site teams and utility providers

A strong plus

  • Experience delivering utilities for industrial parks, factories or free zones
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical, food or processing facility requirements (clean utilities, water treatment)
  • English for working with foreign resident engineering teams
  • Knowledge of Uzbek construction norms and utility connection procedures

What we offer

  • A hands-on role with visible impact — your work is what lets residents break ground
  • Close collaboration with the directorate and the zone’s incoming manufacturers
  • Competitive salary and professional development on a growing industrial site
  • A stable, government-backed employer building national infrastructure
